Kristian Albertssons history with the car:

As told before Kristian Albertsson became the owner after Benny.

Prior to the purchase Kristian had talked to the swedish authorities and got a promise that it should be possible to get the car street legal.    When Kristian showed up he was refused to do the registrering, they asked for a lot of papers not possible to get.

Our friend Kristian was of another meaning and he struggled, struggled hard to be able to use his car.

With the support of some swedish car societies he made a great work and finally, in 2006, he was able to get the car completely legal to drive in Sweden.

Over the last years Kristian have put in a lot of effort to get this car in great shape. The lower part of the body have been cleaned off by hand and then painted in a silverish body paint.

The gearbox was restored a few years ago, the rear axle was restored and put back in the shape it left the factory, with a positraction 3,42:1 end gear.

Among other things done by Kristian are replacement bushings in the suspension, new brakes and a lot of small things done over the years.

Another upgrade was to take away the stock horseshoe shifter and replace it with a race shifter, a B&M shifter.

Here are some pictures from Kristians years, restoring and improvement´s, over the years.

To improve the looks Kristian have added some feature, one example are the remodelled front directional and courtesy lights.  They are designed and built by himself, looking great, as you may see.  Kristian has also put on the three part rear spoiler, an option from the Z28 package.

He has also put in a serius CD player and an lowrange bass subwoofer in the trunk.

The Super trapps are perhaps out of the 1970/-80 timing but the style, and sound, are quite good.

Bennys old 396 have been restored a couple of times but last summer ended with a worne out crankshaft and Kristian decided to get another engine.

He found an enginebuilder who had a completely rebuilt 402 engine, bored out to 408 cubic inches, pumping ut close to 500 horsepower.

Here´s the motor in the car, great fun with lots of toque and power.

Over the years Kristian have done a great job with the car and all looks wery nice.

To cool off the performance engine he also installed a brand new Ron Davis aluminum radiator supplied with double two-speed fans.

In the summer of 2010 he felt that all of this work over the years had drained his dedication and he decided to sell the car and that´s when I came in and bought the car.

Here´s a picture from the day I bought the car, me to the left and Kristian to the right.
